Nono Sakurai is a bar girl. She works at night as a hostess. This is an unusual kind of job that many non Japanese might not understand. As Nono Sakurai explained to us she spends her afternoons at nice restaurants and then in the evening goes to work when most people are finishing their work day. As a hostess she is required to spend her evenings with men that come to visit her club. Her club is a high end club so the men who usually frequent the club are bosses and CEOs of their companies. Some people think that a hostess at a club like this will have sex with her customers. But that is not the case, and most of the men who spend their evenings at a local hostess club are there to be entertained in chat with lovely and usually young ladies. And the ladies offer a listening ear and someone to light their cigarettes and chatting with them. Many of these clubs also offer singing for the customers so they can pass the time together enjoying an evening of conversation, and singing. Nono e
